Ben Nevis
The Ben Nevis region is a walkers paradise and has the highest mountain in the British Isles which is affectionately referred to as 'The Ben'.
The dramatic effect of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, is emphasised by the fact that it begins its rise from sea-level on the shores of Loch Linnhe, to tower 4,406ft (1,344m) above the town of Fort William.
The summit, features the ruins of a weather observatory, which was permanently staffed between 1883 and 1904.
The view from the top (if you get one) is stunning and is an experience that you will remember forever.
